ASML Ends Advisory Role of Former French Minister Bruno Le Maire

Bruno Le Maire, France's former Minister of Economic and Finance (2017 — 2024) under president Emmanuel Macron, is no longer a special adviser to ASML. This news was reported by an ASML spokesperson to Reuters on Monday, October 6, 2025.

ASML, which stands for Advanced Semiconductor Materials Lithography is  the world's leading manufacturer of photolithography machines used in the semiconductor industry for the production of Integrated Circuits. The company was founded as a joint venture in 1984 before becoming an independent entity in 1995.

Bruno's role as a special strategic adviser to ASML executives took effect on January 1, 2025, with objective of Strengthening Europe's semiconductor industry amid global challenges.
